HUMAN/HER

I had this sudden strong feeling of pity for being a girl. I mean, how fair is it to live with no fun or freedom? I'm not discriminating, but how fair is it? How can someone just bind our legs with invisible threads and not let us do what we want? And when I say "whatever we want", I don't mean inappropriate things. I mean things like having fun rides or going on a night out or speaking our minds without constantly being told to conform etcetc

What kind of society are we living in? ik that girls face limitations , but today it hit me so hard, like really hard. It's such a shame for society and for those who make girls feel insecure and restrict our fun and dreams. It's a shame if you're one of those people.

It's such a shame that I feel helpless in changing society. How can we change it? Come on, we can never do that. I don't know who to blame, the ancient times where women were often controlled by men or the current generation with a modern education, or our elders?

For those who might think, "Why can't girls just stay indoors and leave their fun behind? Why is she reacting so strongly? Why is she making it a big deal?" Listen, it's a shame if you think that way, it's immature.

I also hate it when girls allow this to happen too. Can't you raise your voice and speak up for yourself? What are you trying to be, a quiet sweet talking compromising innocent girl whom everyone loves just because they think you're good? Girl, what are you trying to do? You are just raising their expectations about females! Come on, if you are one of those and you are reading this, you are not a stereotypical Barbie, Be a real human.

It's not limited to just one gender, it's for anyone who can relate and connect with these feelings.

I know we can't change everything, it will always be the same. I'm not even expecting change. All I can hope for is that you being a human speak up for yourself, even though I know that might not happen because, well, you know.

I'm sorry if someone was hurt by these lines or if I wrote something insensitive or made a mistake.Signing off for today feeling hopeless.

I think, the concept of trying to change the society is wrong. Cause that never happens, if "trying to change the society" Was that easy, we don't have to write about or talk about all these things here, right now. Just know the reality and try to fit in. Remember it's always survival of the fittest. Anyways this is just my opinion. 🙌

Contrary to your opinion, I believe that the quest to change society is no bad venture. Yes, change is a gradual and tedious process, but it is possible. Peck by peck the woodpecker bores a hole through a tree. I believe if people collectively embrace the need for ideological, social, moral, and ethical changes where needed, our little worlds around us would be safe havens.
